- Wedding: June 2013
I was discussing decor for centrepieces, and in the middle of discussing this I get “Well your ceremony is in the museum, and they just make an aisle with chairs on both sides. But it doesn’t look like a wedding at all.” Gee… thanks.
So, how would you dress up your ceremony location? We can’t have any potted plants, and no real candles. I can’t hang anything from the ceiling, and all decorations have to be freestanding and taken away at the end of the night.
Do you think just an aisle runner in our wedding colour, and a table at the end of the aisle with a bouquet of flowers will do? Does that give enough of a focal point to make it seem “wedding-y”? I thought about an arch, but I don’t want to deal with transporting that there and back in the same day. I also don’t want to rent one either since that’s another vendor to deal with.
There will be table off to one side for signing the marriage license/certificate/register (whatever it’s called), but that’s all I was planning to have originally….
