I need your help ladies! I’m trying to figure out how to decorate the pavilion where we’ll be getting married. See photo below. I mocked up the aisle runner and chairs so you can see. We’re going to have lanterns on the ground at every other aisle of chairs going up the aisle as well. (Ikea Borby if you need the visual)
I’m trying to figure out what to do with the (somewhat ugly) paviliion decor. We’ll be standing slightly underneath the pavilion itself (where I’m standing in the photo, right in the center) and then our wedding party will be on the top step on either side of us. We’re planning to put our musicians (piano and guitar players) inside the pavilion behind us.
My question is, what would you do to decorate? Something above us? Frame the outline of the supports at left and right and then across the top (where the speakers are) Stuff hanging from the inside of the pavilion that creates a backdrop behind us? Both? I’m at a loss here… Here’s some of the ideas I’ve come across that I like as well but I’m not quite sure how to implement them just yet.
I don’t want to go too overboard… my colors are peach, purple, taupe and mustard yellow. I have a tonnnnn of peach crepe paper that I used to pom pom flower rings to go around lanterns on the centerpieces. I also have quite a bit of other fabrics that we’re using throughout the reception decor. I don’t want to get too complicated as I have to make it, we won’t have a lot of time to set up, and I don’t want to take away from people looking at us as a couple while we’re standing up there. I’m also worried about wind. Any ideas or feedback on my current ideas would be appreciated! Would the kinds of details in the images I’ve posted look weird hanging on a pavilion?
