So This is the room the ceremony will take place in. It will look a little different, everything will be cleared away and those gold chairs will be the kind our guests will be seated in. There will be rows of them on either side creating an aisle up to those glass doors where we will exchange vows. They told me I’m renting the room and chairs, do whatever I want with it decroation wise. But I’ve never been married, what do I do? I was thinking since it’s a winter wedding maybe having lanterns on the end of the aisles and making some sort of arch where we do our vows. Any ideas? Advice? Photos? Anyone do or see anything that might work/look good here? Thank you for any inspiration!

What a beautiful room. I tend to err on the side of simple for decorations, and in my mind, I wouldn’t do more than having flowers. Instead of an arch, you could have tall flower stands on either side of the doorway to create an altar-like space. I really like the idea of the lanterns at the ends of the aisles. You could even have them along the aisle at certain intervals.

@BriansBride: Here’s one where they placed large flowering trees on either side of the windows.

I had to do other things last night so wasn’t able to finish my thought.
I have made flowering trees like this using branches found in the bush or from pruning, stablilized them in plaster of paris in a pot, then attached silk flowers with hot glue. It’s so eay to do and gives a lot of bang for the buck.
Draping white fabric can also focus attention on the altar area.
I love the look of these birch poles topped with a floral arrangement

I really appreciate everyone responding! 🙂
@julies1949: Those pictures are beautiful! I am definitely saving them to my wedding ideas folder. I love the chandelier idea with white fabric idea. I wonder if I could get away with that. I also like the birchwood. I think it looks wintery. Thank you so much for the photos. I clearly have a bad imagination and couldn’t think what the flowers on either side would look like. This helps.
@Cummins59: The flowers along the aisle look great! No one knocked any over did they? haha sorry that would be my big fear. I also love the way they look like they have pearls dripping from them. I want to do that!

@BriansBride: Thank you! We also used the floral arrangements in our reception area as half of our centerpieces. We had our guests walk along the wall to take their seats so nothing got bumped 🙂 Here are a few more pictures of the center pieces with the pearls draped in them. They added such a nice touch!
