Long story short, we have decided we’re having a small, family only ceremony in the park gazebo on the town hall land where my beau and I live, on the Friday before our Sunday reception. So the big question….
Do I wear The Dress to the outdoor JOP ceremony? It’s intricate and blingy and formal. Or do I wear something considerably less formal?
I know it’s all about what I feel comfortable doing/wearing, but I’m just not sure yet if I’d feel totally OK wearing the gown for a half hour informal ceremony, except that there’s appeal to being able to wear the dress twice!

I would want to wear a different dress to the JOP ceremony because I would want to reserve the more formal showy dress for the reception only.
If you upload a picture of the dress it might be easier to offer advice though. I’m sure whatever you do, you’ll look beautiful!

The skirt/hem is plain, back has alternating buttons and crystals. I’ve been thinking on it for a couple of days now and am leaning towards this dress being too formal for the JOP.

I voted to wear the dress twice, mostly because if you’re getting a fabulous dress, I firmly believe you should wear it as often as you can! You look fantastic!

Aaahhh I’m so torn! Getting to wear a wedding dress twice is like a little gift. But if I scuff it on the Friday I can’t do anything about it by Sunday, plus the JOP bit really is going to be much less formal.
Then again, I can’t stand the thought of looking for a new dress…
