So we get access to our reception space at 4pm…. and generally events there start at 6pm.
we were planning on having our ceremony at 6pm there and reception immediately to follow. We have a DOC and our florist etc deliver and set up there. I know they wil have enough time from 4pm-6pm, but if we are having the ceremony there too…will people show up early? should we plan ceremony at 6.30pm instead? Im worried people will show up at 5.30pm and they will still be setting up the reception…is this an issue??

This really is a question for the florist about how long set up generally takes. Yes, people generally show up 15-30 minutes before the ceremony. Better early than late

Is there somewhere that guests can wait before the ceremony that isnt in the ceremony or reception space? Like another room at the venue or outside in shade if its good weather? Worst case scenario is that the florists will have to set up around the guests but I dont thinks its too bad. Most guests will be busy chatting and I dont think it will take the florists very long.
