I’m planning a January 13th wedding for 120 people in Sacramento. I’ve pretty much decided on the Elks Tower in downtown Sacramento but still am not sure. I just can’t figure out where to do the ceremony! We need a ceremony space near the Elks Tower that costs less than 2k or so for the ceremony. Apparently the Capitol Steps are an option but I can’t figure it out from the website.
Or I guess if that doesn’t work, does anyone know of a place that has two separate spaces — one for ceremony and one for reception? We tried the Sutter Club and ruled out Citizen Hotel already. We’re hoping for like 20k for venue/catering so it shouldn’t be that impossible but it feels so difficult!
I know this is super specific but I thought I’d give it a try — you all know so much!

If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can take a look at the Library Galleria! It’s also in downtown Sacramento. Technically there isn’t a separate ceremony space, but what we will be doing is using half the main floor space for the ceremony and half for the sit-down reception. There will be screen dividers provided by the Galleria to separate the two areas during the ceremony. We also rented out the balcony area so when our guests are up there for the cocktail hour, the Galleria staff will break down the ceremony space and turn it into the dance floor for the reception.
They do have a preferred caterer’s list that you have to choose off of, but even with that we will be able to do venue/catering for under 20k. It helps that you can BYOB (though you have to deliver the alcohol to the caterer, can’t bring it yourself to the venue).
