Bumble bee
So one of the bees recently posted this GORGEOUS link to ceremony decor for the chairs and my heart skipped a beat. We want an arch with tulle and lights and this is PERFECT and far better than the silk flower pomanders I had originally planned!
So my question…how do I make this happen? Here is my venue (ignore the white chair covers, we won’t be doing that)
This is what the chairs normally look like (and the space).
The main room is approximately 61 ft long. There will be about 13 rows of chairs on either side….4 per row in the front half of the room, then it narrows down to 2-3 per row towards the back of the room. So I would either need a bunch of battery operated lights or 2 long strings of lights (and hope for an outlet in the back).
I haven’t got a clue how to look into this. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

Unfortunately that picture doesn’t really show any detail. If you are asking how to create an arch in general, google “DIY pipe and drape”. You will find tutorials on how to use PVC pipe to make an arch.
If you wantg the look of wood as in the pic, you could use two wooden standing coat racks and suspend another piece of wood across the top.
To get the look of the pic, you simply wrap the pipe with tulle and hide mini-lights in the layers of tulle. You can wrap the mini-lights around the top pole, or use zip straps to hold them in place. It looks like they used white ribbon in the pic.
I would use battery operated strings of mini-lights or fairy lights. If you can, try to find ones with a white cord.

You can also just buy assemble yourself arches at Joanns and Michaels…I have no idea how awful the set up is…but I bought one on a whim for like 20 bucks on sale…normally they’re probably more like 60$.
