There is this art space called the Galapagos Art Space.  It’s so awesome.  There is a stage where you could get married and everyone could sit at these tables that are above water.   I guess it is sort of hard to describe, but I loved this space.  I almost had my wedding here!  It is super different and it is in Dumbo.  I also believe its reasonable.  I would totally look into it!

Maybe, depending on the weather, you could do the Brooklyn Botanical Garden?  Its sooooooo pretty there!  It’s probably about a 15 minute drive from DUMBO, but that’s just because they’d have to travel on Eastern Parkway or Flatbush Ave and the traffic is dumb.  Oh and its inexpensive.

We almost booked Galapagos too, but the non-traditional setup made it a technical nightmare for a dancing reception.  It would be a GREAT place for a ceremony!  Give Robert (owner) a call, he loves doing weddings and is very interested in working with the couple to make your wedding theatrical.

@ex libris – that is exactly why we didn’t book there!  Also, I think we had too many people.  But 75 would be perfect and it would be great for a ceremony!

Have you asked about Fulton Landing? It’s the other part of BB Park…. or try Prospect Park, though there are a limited number of spaces available and may not accomodate as many as 75 people… I’m kinda in the same boat. How far in advance did you try to book BB Park?

Oh, I was going to suggest Galapagos, too. A friend of mine does the booking there.
