i don’t think this would be awkward. can the piano be set up on the groom’s side of the aisle so he doesn’t have to walk all the way around?

any potential awkwardness would be way offset by how absolutely sweet it is to have your brother playing the processional!

I was in a wedding where a bridesmaid played the harp while the bride walked down. tHE Bridesmaid or Best Man walked down the aisle and stood in the front for a while, but when the last couple was walking up she slipped away and then when the bride was at the front she waited until the priest said his prayer and then came back to the pew, no one seemed to notice, I think I only knew because of the rehearsal! No one really stays focused on the front anyway because they are all waiting for the BRIDE!

I think it would be great and no one would look strangely upon it at all!

i think this is a great idea. i agree with @kitzy: i think it will work out beautifully with the piano set up on the groomsmen’s side so that your brother will be able to get to it easily.
