Gosh I love this place…who needs a planner when you got bees!
I am trying to figure out what type of music to play during the ceremony. What kind of music/musicians are you having at your ceremony(or did have)?

We are having a church wedding, and everything is going to be very traditional. For the processional, we’ll play Bach "Air on G String," and for my processional we’ll play Canon in D" by Pachelbel. For the recessional we’ll play "All you Need is Love" by The Beatles.

We are having a string trio playing a mixture of classical songs that aren’t too wdding-y (i.e. no wedding march, canon in d, etc) and some of our favorite songs in movie soundtracks, musicals, and modern instrumental songs. I found the trio by advertising through local colleges with well-known music programs. We ended up choosing a professor who has a group and was very affordable. Here are some of our song choices:
Viva La Vida Instrumental by Coldplay
Band of Brothers movie theme songs
Love of a Princess from Braveheart
All I ask of You from Phantom of the Opera
Largo from the Four Seasons
Air on G string
We are also have our guests sing two hymns during the ceremony.
This is still a work in process though!

I haven’t gotten to planning this yet- I would be interested in see what else everyone else chose! We are having two guitarists and a cellist for the ceremony & cocktail hour… I know I can ask our musicians what they think, but I would love to see what others chose with the combo we are having!

Anything from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons is beautiful
You could also ask them to play Palladio aka the Diamonds are Forever song.
Selections from Man of La Mancha would be cute also! Or selections from Carnival of the Animals. I’ll bet your musicians would know which movements I mean.
The Brandenburg concertos are lively. You may also consider Handel’s Watermusic, Mozart’s Eine Kliene Nacht Music, movement 2 (Romance) or Solomon’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba!
