Help, I need to figure out what music to have for my ceremony! I have a string quartet and it will be a semi-formal outdoor wedding. I don’t want the traditional “Here Comes the Bride” song, but I don’t know what else to pick. I also need songs for the wedding party processional. What songs do you plan to use for your ceremony?

I walked down to Eastmountainsouth “So Are You to Me” played on the piano and sang by a girlfiend of mine.
As for the party processional and other songs… they were pretty untraditional so I don’t think they’d fit what you’re looking for *shrugs shoulders*

I think Canon in D on strings would be amazing. The Ashokan Farewell is also a beautiful song if you are looking for something different than traditional wedding music.

Go onto Amazon and look up string quartet music. You can listen to the samples there. Talk to your musicians first though. They are your best resource. Lots of songs can be adapted to be played by a quartet. Look up Vitamin String Quartet. They play a lot of popular music on strings.
