Our ceremony violinist backed out, so now we’re going the CD route but need help choosing songs. We’re getting married in a historic 1940’s movie theater and have a bit of a vintage movie theme. Any ideas for seating of parents, processional, bridal entrance, and/or recessional songs? One idea I had was “When You Wish Upon a Star” by Glenn Miller. Thanks for your suggestions!
Also, any tips from previous brides who played ceremony music on CD? (For example, About how long should each song be?)

i can’t think of any specific part of the ceremony these would fit… but they have the old hollywood feel to them…
‘One Man’s Dream’ from the attraction in Disney World
‘Hooray for Hollywood’
‘Singing in the Rain’
… and pretty much anything by Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, or Gene Kelly…

@rosworms: Thanks! I couldn’t find One Man’s Dream, but Hooray for Hollywood I could use when the guests are being seated, and Moon River during the processional.

I LOVE this…. also thinking about planning a theatre wedding theme since it’s pretty much my life. When I saw this post, I immediately thought of Titanic’s theme…. or other romantic movies….. love the moon river idea as well! Have you posted pictures or continued with the theme idea? I’d love to see it!
