We are getting married outside in a pavilion. So we will be having an Ipod ceremony. I’m trying to figure out a few things.
- If the ceremony starts at 4:30, what time should we start the prelude music?
- How many songs do we need for the prelude?
- I’m only having one attendent (MOH) and two flower girls (the guys will already be at the “alter”). Can they and my dad and I walk down the aisle to the same song? It’s not going to be a particularly long walk and it seems silly to play two separate songs.
Any ideas and suggestions would be great!

As far as the same song goes, I say definitely! Everyone — me and my dad included — will be walking down the aisle to the same piece!

I agree with Bruschetta… you can definitely do one song just make sure someone is there to stop it when needed!
You should practice a few times just to make sure, and you should try to start your walk during a distinctive point so you’re a lttle different! Good luck, let us know how it goes 🙂

If your ceremony starts at 4:30, I would say to have 30 minutes of prelude music before that. So have music start at 4:00. And as far as how many songs you need, that will depend on the lengths of the songs. And I think it is absolutely ok for you and your attendent to walk to the same song. I think I’m going to use the same song for all three of my attendents and me!

We’re having an outdoor wedding. I’m doing about 30 minutes of music – 5 songs. We’re all walking down the aisle to Love me Tender by Norah Jones.

Music is a biggie for me for my wedding. I have certain songs that must be played for certain parts of the day. I’m planning on my prelude music 45 minutes prior to my ceremony.

This will again depend on what time you start the prelude music.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with your Maid/Matron of Honor and FG’s, then you and your dad walking down to the same song.
