I’ve been playing around with trying to get things in order so I can order programs. I’ve got 60 days left, AHHH!!!!
I’m wondering how many songs to choose for the music before the ceremony starts.
For the seating of the mothers/grandmothers, I chose Ave Maria the instrumental version
For the procession of the bridesmaids and groomsmen, I’m torn between the Storybook Love from the Princess Bride or Brandon Heath’s Love Never Fails (both will also be instrumental)
For the entrance of the bride, I fell in love with the theme from Brideshead Revisited. That was the song that Grace walked down the aisle to marry Leo in the tv show Will and Grace.
For the unity sand song, I chose The Wedding Song (There is Love) by Paul Stookey.
I haven’t picked a recessional song yet though.
What do you think?

@born2teachuga: Hi date twin! 2 months go go! eek!
I think your choices sound good. Are you having a live musician for the ceremony or just recordings? Just asking because if it’s a musician, they’ll just keep playing whatever even if you haven’t picked anything for beforehand.

YAY! Congrats to you as well. I’m sure you’re just as crazy trying to get everything in line as I am. These little details are what’s getting my nerves rattled. I’m getting married outdoors and I have a DJ that’s going to do the music for both the ceremony and reception. I couldn’t find a pianist or harpist without going over in budget so I had to settle with this.

You may also want to get instrumental music (Vitamin String Quartet has some GREAT covers) for the half hour before the ceremony/while guests are being seated. Just makes it feel a little warmer.
