Canon in D is still beautiful on an organ. That’s what I’m walking down the aisle to. I’ve attached a link to a version of it. We’re doing all organ music. Our other songs are Ave Maria and Jesu, Joy. Also, a slight pause before the processional wouldn’t be noticable in my opinion if you wanted all of your prelude music to be on a piano.

As far as the unity candle goes, it’s actually not a Catholic tradition so you won’t find it anywhere. Every wedding I’ve been to that has had a unity candle has the moms light it seperately. That’s also what we’ll plan on doing.

We did all organ, even before the ceremony.  There are different settings, so it was just quieter before and then he jacked it up for the main event.

The Mom’s walked in to Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming.  We did Jesu Joy on the organ for both the wedding party and myself.  We recessed to Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer.

My cousin sang Ave Maria and O Holy Night (Christmas wedding).

We didn’t go the unity candle, but when I saw it done at a Catholic wedding, the Mom’s lit the B&G’s baptismal candles off of the Paschal candle.  Then, they lit the unity candle together.  I think?
