Darling Husband and I got married at the Gershon Fox Ballroom (gfox) which was an old art decco retail building that was converted into 3 unique spaces, that helped us to create the most perfect day. We had a candlelit ceremony with as you see a large Christmas tree in the background.
Our flower girl, my niece, decided this was not what she wanted to do. She did however make it down the aisle
I came down the aisle to Christmas Canon Rock. We hit the bottom of the stairs when the electric guitar kicked in. It was perfectly me. Classic but with a little edge. My father was surprised
My two favorite men passing me one from the other. They both had tears in their eyes and at that moment was the most loved I had ever felt.
At one point my father’s cell phone rang. He was so embarassed, but it was perfect timing. The whole room was crying. Our ceremony was so personal, as my Aunt officiated and really told the story of us first. The latin inspired ring helped to lighten the mood in between my vows and before the start of John’s
You may kiss your bride!

Thank you everyone!
@tynabee: the tree isn’t for everyone, but I love Christmas! Our wedding didn’t have a Christmas theme at all, but this was an amazing nod to the time of year and was already set up in our venue. We didn’t have to pay for flowers or ceremony decor. We bought $50 worth of candles and that was it.

How old was your flower girl??? Ours is going to be VERY young also and my Fiance is skeptical, so I want to show him proof that a little girl CAN make it down the aisle.

She is 18 months. Honestly we had no issues at all. It was sooo cute. You just have to realize that they are kids and can’t expect it to be perfect. We were more than ok with the cute moments. I think that’s what it’s all about. We changed her into her jammies at one point. This is my fave pic of her from that night.
