That is ridiculous that they are telling you this two days before. It’s not too late to ask for a discount. You should call them right now and complain.

I would call the venue ASAP. They have likely dealt with this situation before and may have some constructive advice. Calmly explain why you’re upset (as you did above), but try to stay as friendly and nice as you can so they’ll help you. If they feel sorry for you they will be more likely to help…

Do it all in writing. I’m going through this with Hilton right now for this weekend, and they changed my reception site last Friday. Call and tell them to respond via email, but absolutely put all your points across in an email first.

honestly they screwed up. they are not offering what you want…so legally speaking, you can get your money back. this is not what you paid for, period. i would be furious.
