@weddingbound: I AM SO JEALOUS YOU GET TO USE THAT! I love it so much but Fiance hates it! 🙁
As a compromise we decided on Crazy Little Thing Called Love for our recesisonal! (Our processional is Kisses and Candy which is an instrumental/Love You Til The End – a nod to the first love story we ever watched together ;))
We used songs from Star Wars. Not for everyone but our guests loved it. I especially love our recessional song which was the ending song from A New Hope (when they were in the Throne Room). The beginning of it sounds almost like Mendelssohn wedding march. But then it breaks into a very recognizable Star Wars sound. I’m still getting comments about it 🙂
We’re just thinking right now, but I’m thinking Jon Schmidt’s “Love Story Meets Viva La Vida”. The “Love Story” part for the processional, fade out for ceremony, fade back in for “Viva La Vida” for recessional.
Wow, I love all the different ideas! Fiance wants to use a Frank Sinatra song for the recessional. Initially he said he wanted “Aint That a Kick In the Head” by Dean Martin. I loveeee the rhythm, but not the words! So we’re still looking 🙂
processional will be Falling Slowly by Vitamin String Quartet (originally by Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova) and I think the Recessional will be either Best of You by Vitamin String Quartet (originally by Foo Fighters) or Bitter Sweet Symphony by Vitamin String Quartet (originally by The Verve)
Processional: Not sure yet…Thinking of Your Gaurdian Angel by The Vitamin String Quartet. Origionally by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus just because I’ve always loved that song and their version sounds beautiful.
Recessional: All You Need is Love done by The Vitamin String Quartet.
