It’s not too late it all depends what you want!

Are you doing pictures before or after, if you do them after you will not be having dinner until around 8ish. Is this too late for your guests?

My timeline changed a lot throughout my planning but I have ended up with a 4:30pm ceremony and dinner will be served at 7pm.

We are having a 1:30 on a Saturday but that is all that is available at our church.  We would have loved to do it later like around 4:30 or 5.  It does depend on what you want and your timeline for the evening.  Is there enough time afterwords for pics and a long enough reception?

Mine started at 6 and it was a good timeline for everyone really. Dinner wasn’t too far off, after the ceremony there was a cocktail hour then dinner was served at 8PM so I think the guests were really comfortable. The ONLY downside to it was that there was less time in between the ceremony and reception to take photos.

We are going photos before the ceremony, which starts at 5pm. Cocktail hour 5:30-6:30 and then dinner and reception until 10:30.

at 5 – I voted “before 7pm” because I couldn’t figure out if you meant “before 5pm” to include five or not, and five is certainly before seven!

Our ceremony will start at 5:30 pm as well.  I think whatever time you have your ceremony will be fine Smile

@JMG2B: It’s not too late. Just make sure to have enough times in between your ceremony site and reception site. Most of your guest will arrive to the reception and skip the ceremony.

    Keep us posted 🙂

I think 6 is ideal.  We, however, will be getting married at 2:30 because the only options we had were 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., or 7:30 p.m.  We want an evening reception and I thought 7:30 was too late because with a full mass and the reception a few miles away from the church, dinner wouldn’t start until 9.  So we are getting married at 2:30 and hoping to have $ to organize something for our guests to do until the reception starts at 6:30.

We’re doing super quicky stuff here. Not into the traditional.

Ceremony is at Noon. ‘Cocktail hour’ (dry) is at 1:00. Reception is from 2:00-4:30.
