im sorry – wedding planning has its ups and its downs for sure.  You do still have time so keep an open mind.  We went from having a church wedding, to a wedding close to our house and ultimately we ended up at the venue so although your perfect spot is gone you may come across another you didnt know about yet! keep looking but i know it stings a little bit….

First of all I am very sorry your plans fell through, secondly seeing as you can’t wallow – go get a chocolate and enjoy it, you need some cheering up! This might sound very cliché, but things happen for a reason. Just believe there will be something waiting around the corner for you, it will not be less perfect just different. Good Luck!

LMac499:  If her decision to stop hosting weddings was based on revenue loss, you could offer to up the fee you pay to equal a buyout of the restaurant for her normal day’s revenue.

Sorry this happened to you! Try to remember that since you have a backup venue, you’re really at Square 2, and can take your time to find an even more wonderful ceremony venue.

Maybe ask her if she has recommendations for another venue like hers?

It is really unforunate that she gave you the run around, but look on the bright side–you aren’t screwed (you still have a viable location) and i bet your pictures will come out just as beautiful!!!
