I want to see what everyone is doing to honor their mothers at the ceremony (if you are).
I have seen this on at a wedding on tv (some reality wedding show or what not) years ago.
Here is what is said:
Minister: The Mothers’ of the bride and groom will now come forward as we honor them as mothers and to help us with the next part of the ceremony
(Both Mothers come forward and stand next to their children)
Minister: And now Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time for Stephany and David’s las kiss as singles before they become wife and husband.
(Bride’s Name) and her Mother, (BM’s Name), and (Groom’s Name), and his mother (GM’s Name) will offer this kiss.
These mothers lips were the first to kiss them and bring them into this world and today a mother’s love-together with their blessings-will be first to send them on their way to their new life together as wife and husband.
Mothers..please kiss the bride and groom.
It took me forever to find this, and I love it. It made me cry when I saw it on TV.
What are your thoughts on this. I have never seen it done at a wedding before. Any other nice ways to honor your mothers at the wedding?
