We hired an officiant, but he gave us a whole slew of ceremonies he had used for other ceremonies and we mish mashed them together to suit us. PM me your email address and I can send the file to you if you’d like! It might be a good starting point for you!

We looked up about a million different ceremonies, we picked a chose different parts that we wanted and put them together.  Darling Husband did have to change some wording to more reflect us, but the general flow of most of the ceremonies was pretty standard.  We did use Mrs Apples hand ceremony, it was the only thing that we really found that we just HAD to have.

i looked up the typical outline of a ceremony and i found or wrote the various sections.  our officiant sent some samples too but i wanted something a little different.

off the top of my head some of the various sections in no particular order: intro, vows, readings, declaration on intent, unity candle or other ceremonies,  blessing of rings, pronouncement…

We took pieces of different ones and reworded some to make it ours.  I’ll be happy to send it to you if you want to read it.

I am struggling with this as well. I have a pretty good draft together now though, but it needs some tweeking. We are not religious at ALL so we chose more earthy readings and wording. Good luck!
