- Wedding: April 2013
The Situation: We don’t belong to a church or identify with any one particular religion. That being said, we’re leaning away from a church wedding. Our reception venue (a golf club) has a ceremony site outdoors that provides seating for 150 guests. The backup rain plan seats 110. Our invited number is 263. This space is $500 for the ceremony.
The officiant we are considering is $300 for a 20min ceremony.
-Immediate Friends/Family only at the ceremony (Will people be offended?? We can’t say ONLY family, because we like some of our friends more than family members)
-Ceremony at another location (We live in Pgh and I have searched and searched and searched.. everything that isn’t a church either doesn’t have a rain backup -parks, or is way over budget -1100 for museum type buildings)
-Hope a LOT of people skip on the ceremony (Will they really do that if both are at the same venue and only about an hour apart?–pics beforehand and 20min ceremony)
Suggestions/opinions greatly appreciated!
