I want to hear about your music selections for the ceremony and first dance. So I want to know the songs you’re using for the wedding party processional, you walking down the aisle, the recessional, and the first dance (and anything I may be missing that you’ll be using). I’m wanting to do more nontraditional ceremony music and am trying to get some suggestions.
We’re thinking of using the song Married Life from Up for our recessional and I’m debating whether or not to do the traditional wedding march.

@caits615: Ok heres my list:
wedding party processional: VSQ cover of ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ (we found out our friends getting married in a few weeks wanted to use that in their wedding too but we have a lot of common friends so they canned that idea!)
bride entrance: ‘Stand By Me’ by Ben E King
Recessional (all): ‘You make my Dreams come true’ by Hall & Oats
wedding party reception entrance: ‘Kickstart My Heart’ by Motley Crue
me and DH’s reception entrance: ‘Let me Clear My Throat’ by DJ Kool
1st Dance: 311’s cover of ‘Love Song’

I refuse any “traditional” music or any of the “typical” wedding songs…I love rock music and i love Canadian bands…..
Ceremony:prelude:Romeo and juliet by dire straitsSomewhere out there by Our Lady Peace
Mother seating:some song by babyface (this may change….chose this for Fiance and he was like “why did you choose this? LOL)
Wedding party processional:Lost in you by three days grace
My wedding march:Change the world (acoustic version) by finger eleven(cool thing about them is that I made sure I got permission to use ANY of their music that I have –I have lots of tracks that aren’t public–and I got it…they super rock)
recessional: Love and marriage-Frank Sinatra
I originally wanted 2…one that Fiance chose, and i one that I did…I may pair it down (I don’t want people bored at the reception)…
Thousand Mile wish by (guess!) Finger eleven–I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! The lyrics “laughing lovers, can overcome their closest demons….” always makes me think of us….
