Hi Date Twin 🙂 My ceremony will be at 3 pm, then the cocktail hour from 4:30-6 or so, then dinner, toasts and dancing starting around 7 or 7:30. But ours goes till midnight.

You could always have some kind of “after party” if you are worried about it ending early. The only problem with starting a ceremony later, is that it gets darker earlier in the winter… At least it does here. So that is something to keep in mind

Our cermony is at 2:00 (catholic mass), then the reception starts at 5:00, ends at 10:00. Since it gets dark so early, I think and evening wedding starting at 5:00 is fine. I also like it ending at 10:00 because then the older people can go home, and we can all go out in the city. Just need to find the afterparty bar.

our ceremony is at 4 pm (we’re having a candlelit ceremony at our church, since it will be dusk at the time in january in MN) with a reception to immediately follow (5-midnight).

our ceremony will begin at 5pm – it will be getting dark by 6pm and our ceremony is outside.  the reception will be inside from around 5:30-9:30 or so.

We timed our ceremony based on last available daylight to do outdoor pics. Ceremony at 2pm, cocktail reception 3-5(and photos), dinner at 5 or 5:30 tbd, dancing ending at 12 midnight.
