My wedding is January 24, 2013 🙂 I am so excited and happy :))
Planning it has been pretty stressful so far though. We are both Jewish, but we still have totally different customs and cultures from each other, since our parents come from two different countries with their own way of celebrations. Right now, we are having a hard time deciding on the time that we should ask guests to be there. Since we are having a Thursday wedding, my fiance said we should not push it early in the afternoon, since not only it is a workday, a lot of our guests will driving one hour to our wedding location, and most will want time to get ready beforehand. The ceremony will be outside, but first will be the cocktail hour.
The ceremony will be outside (we live in a hot climate, but this is another issue:) ). Should I ask guests to arrive at 6 for the cocktail hour, and have the ceremony at 7 ? I am fine with having a late reception, that may last only 3 or so hours… I am planning to have it go till 11 pm.
Cocktail hour will be inside the reception room ,,,,, ceremony will be outside in a covered patio right outside the reception room ,,,, then back inside for the rest of the night.
