My doctor says to BD whenever you have EWCM, just to be safe so I think you did the right thing. Sometimes I get EWCM a little early and it’ll go away before it comes back right before O. Your temperature is really the only way to know for sure.

You can also get EWCM about a week after O.  It has to do with an increase in Estrogen.  Just FYI…

I chart and I always used to get EWCM about five days before O.  My plan was to BD every other day from about CD 14 until CD17 and then every day until CD22 (I typically O on CD21).  I figured that following the shedule above we should catch any eggs that dropped 🙂

You might find if takes a couple of months of charting to see some regular patterns and for your projected O date and EWCM to line up.

Good luck!

@stephanie63087:  When I was researching the accuracy of using EWCM as detection of ovulation I read that if you have PCOS you’ll still be producing it even if you aren’t ovulating.  But I can’t confirm that to be true!

@stephanie63087:  My past 2 cycles I’ve gotten EWCM about 4-5 days before O but it increases LIKE A LOOOT the day of O. Did the math on you and you are 5 days away from O so it makes sense:)
