Darling Husband and I haven’t fully decided on kids yet so not in our short term future at least. I love to travel and the freedom to do it s so hope don’t mind me posting when don’t meet the requirements as such.
We are going to Paris for the euros (football/soccer) this summer then in October we are likely to go away again to Denmark or Germany. we are planning a big trip to America (we are UK based) to Boston, new york, DC then Orlando but we don’t know how soon it will be as will require some savings. our other big trip goal is Australia (he hasn’t been before, I have). we’ll probably do other European countries too, our current top picks for those are Greece and Croatia.
I currently have a job which requires working Saturdays so we don’t get to do many ‘mini-breaks’ in our own country. I’m in the process of trying to get a new job so we can do more of this.

MarriedToMyWork: Oh yeah for sure as far as smaller cities are better…idk I just think it was too small and overrated. My friend also lived 30 minutes from Venice and would go all the time, she hated it as well. She would go because her friends wanted to. Same with my sister who’s been a bunch of times too. I just plain didn’t like it and probably never will. It’s just an overrated city like Paris and Milan. I cannot stand crowded places and I was there at night too, I also cannot stand small areas that are crowded. I just did not like Venice, I know people love it but out of all the hundreds of places I’ve been in the world, Venice and Milan are my absolutely least favorite places ever.
I’m glad you liked it though.

My husband and I are going to cottage country in the summer. We will be taking a canoe tour.
We’re also going to Jamaica in September.

We are planning a destination wedding/honeymoon in Maui for a couple weeks.
After that we have discussed Europe, France, italy.
We have also discussed moving to another country someday, provided we could both find work. It is fun that nothing is out of the realm of possibilities!

Ooo, fun thread! Last year we did a lot of 4-5 day trips in the states which was really fun. And an awesome 2.5 weeks in Europe in December. We just got back from Mexico, it was our first visit and I LOVED it so much, I’m imagining spending next Christmas there 🙂 We head back to Europe in late summer, looking like Italy & Croatia.
mrshmc1204: You sound like me, I’m obsessed with South Africa and Greece too. I haven’t been to either yet and both are on the shortlist for my birthday trip.
