i’m not a huge fan of chair covers so i would say no because the chairs seem to be in good condition and the color is good too. BUT if you have extra $, and YOU want them covered, then i’d go for it. Pretty venue too!

    Cool

I don’t care for chair covers either and I think it is a waste of money and time.

Ok so I am sort of biased because ugly chairs are my number one pet peeve about wedding decor.  In fact I’ve been saying for years that when I get married I MUST have nice chairs.  With that said, I’m also not a huge fan of chair covers but think they are better than conference room chairs.

Your chairs are not offensive on the rented chairs scale.  They seem pretty neutral.  But at the end of the day, to me they are conference chairs.  So I would find the money to get covers or different chairs.  But this all depends on your own priorities.

If you can afford it and it matters to you then do it. To be honest I think you’ve a really pretty room there and the chairs are a bit blah, but once they’ve got smiley people sat in them all dolled up they’ll be fine!

I agree with Aunt Pol; the chairs may seem a bit dull, but once people start coming and sitting in them no one will even notice! I’d save the money by not using chair covers.

My reception chairs are pretty much exactly the same as yours.  I am STRONGLY against chair covers but my mother is INSISTING on getting them.  The thing is, its an extra $700 for them!  $3 for the cover, and then $2 for them to put the covers on!!  I told her that if she wants them then she has to pay for them!  I lost – she won :o(

Like many previous posters, I am strongly against chair covers. I think that they take up a lot of visual space in a room and are a waste of time and money. The chairs in your venue are very plain and neutral – nobody will even notice them.

By The Way – your venue is very pretty!

I went  to a wedding this last weekend that had chair covers and they looked baggy. I am not having any at mine it would be over $800 dollars  I rather spend the money on my somthing my guests would enjoy then on where people put there butts..lOL Wink

Personally, I prefer chair covers to plain conference room chairs. ours were only $1.50 though by going to an outside vendor.

Im a fine of chair covers if the room is simple but you want to add that extra elegance. I feel the room is elegant enough that you can get away without them BUT what about tying some coloured sash around them as well?

Is that the Givenry Ballroom at Union Bank Inn in Edmonton?  I have an appointment to view that room today as a possibility for my wedding reception!  Small world 🙂

In my opinion, I would choose to use chair covers, just so they don’t look like “typical” conference chairs…and if you are getting all dolled up, do you really want to be sitting on a plain old chair.  If the cost is not ridiculous (I can’t remember if the info I had said the chair covers were included or not…), I would go for the covers.  I also agree that the wrap style is very nice, so that would be worth looking into!
