No; the chairs provided by your venue are perfect! Many people rent THEM for weddings.
I upgraded because my venue provides plastic folding chairs… and I am renting mismatched wooden chairs 🙂 Even then I hated the price, and I am only paying around $300 for the wood chairs.

We aren’t renting chairs, but we are renting chair covers.

The chairs that come with the venue actually look really nice. Go and sit in them and providing they are comfy, use that $700 to add some height in to the room – I’m thinking fairy lights off those big wood beams or some tall floral arrangements. I really think that would make far more of an impact!
I also agree with the Pp that the difference between the pics, really comes from the angle of the photo and the overall styling rather than the chairs themselves

I’d discourage you from getting Chiavari chairs due to two reasons, one they are costly and you can spend the amount you would need for that for much better causes. And the second, as your friends said people are not going to notice the chair unless they are made of gold and diamonds or are in such a condition that they may collapse any moment. You can use that amount to go on a honeymoon or to buy furniture for your home.

ashleymarie843 : I like the chairs that are included because they match the ceiling beams and the color is differnt. The chairs you are considering renting look too “standard wedding” to me, the included chairs looks more unique. So embrace my POV and save money 🙂
