@BrandyDances:  I think Brandy is exactly right.  Stay with the chalkboard.  It sounds like it is the perfect element for you.

I love the chalkboard idea! I found one today that i absolutely love! it has a wood frame so I can paint it to match my wedding. I think its a great idea and you should most definitely go for. I am going to school to be a teacher 🙂

@chouette:  Gasp! I will be using succulents AND chalkboards! 😉

I’m also a teacher. I’m using a little burlap, a little lace, succulents, and a whole lot of handmade and personal touches. i haven’t been to a wedding yet that has used any of them. If it fits you and you are happy with your theme, then go for it!!

@caiteliz23:  I think chalkboards are cool for teacher bees, just like how I think mason jars and barns are cool for country brides. It only gets tacky or overdone (in my opinion) when the bride has no connection to the theme other than finding pictures on Pinterest. It makes sense for you to do the chalkboards!

I love chalkboard stuff… plus I’m almost a teacher (I wish I could drop the “almost” already!) so it’s very “me”.

I’m using tons of chalkboard signs, mason jars filled with baby’s breath, tons of pillar candles, and burlap. Someone already called my wedding a pinterest wedding, but whatev! I wanted rustic romance. I love lace, I love candle light, I love my wedding. To me, to be spending under 1500 is worth it!
