I always imagined drinking champagne and/or mimosas with my bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding, but after my bachelorette party last weekend, during which we drank mimosas all morning, I realized that champagne makes me incredibly bloated! Plus I’m burping like crazy! I definitely want to avoid that on the big day. Would I be a major stick in the mud if I didn’t have champagne in the hotel room (where we’re getting ready) but some white wine instead? Are there other festive drinks that don’t have carbonation?

What if you did a combo of both? Champagne for those who want it and white wine for yourself and anyone who prefers that.

I would go with a nice white wine and some fruit.

I think white wine is great. Make sure everyone will be able to enjoy it, though. You can buy individual cans of champagne for those that don’t want white wine.
This is a really good one.

Limoncello, Stella Rossa (not a huge fan, but the Peach is nice)… tequila with some lime on the rocks 😉

I would suggest some light white wine like a pinot grigio, St. Germaine elderflower liqueur, and strawberries. I, too, get bloated and belchy from bubbly, so this is what we served for a NYE party instead. 🙂

You could do mimosa (for those that want them) and maybe a white sangria with some fruit! A lot of brunch places around me offer sangria/mimosa.

Ooooooo white sangria – yes. That’s still fun, fruity, and girly like a mimosa too.

white sangria sounds brilliant
