Hello Ladies! I’ve been having some trouble picking colors for my 10/04/14 wedding. Since its basically a week into Fall, I didn’t want to go with the typical Fall themed wedding (Browns, Reds and Oranges). Lately, I have been leaning towards Blush, but I wasn’t sure if that’s more of a color for Spring and not one I should be using for October. If we went with that color, we would incorporate some Champagne into it as well. Does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or other colors that would work with my early October wedding? If you have any pictures, please feel free to share. Thanks! 🙂

It’s fine! I’m doing blush, ivory, champagne and gold on September 28th. Granted, it will still be quite warm and is “wedding season” where my wedding is, but I think it’s fine even if it’s snowing out! Do what you’d like!

I think those would be awesome fall colors! Warm without being stereotypical!

I think the current wedding mentality is “whatever you want.” My daughter wants to use blush and platinum for her late November wedding. Initially I had trouble with it, but it’s her day and those are her favorite colors. At the end of the day what matters is that you love those colors, not what anyone else thinks.

@mrsp2014: Those were my colors for our November wedding and it was really lovely – I say go for it!

Perfect! I’m not a fan of gimmicky “season” colors. I’m doing champagne/gold, blush, and cream colors although now I’m thinking there will be more brown. My wedding is in November, FYI.

I first was thinking of fall colors for our wedding, then I decided to go with blush and gray. I figure it’s my wedding and these are the colors I want regardless of the season. I always knew I wanted a fall wedding and something pink-ish. Generally the two don’t go together, but hey I’m gonna make it work.
I think any color combo will be alright regardless of the season, given it doesn’t clash with the venue’s coloring.

Our colors are black, blush, gold and cream and we’re getting married this October. I don’t think it matters at all.

I say do whatever you want! My October wedding this year will be plum, burgundy and champagne accents.

I’m doing ivory, black, champagne, metallics and possibly blush (don’t have anything blush yet but I’m open to it) in October, I think it will be awesome. I’m going with an evening sparkling candle-lit type theme.
My venue has exposed brick in some rooms and ivory colored walls in others with black table cloths/napkins. My dress is ivory with gold embroidery and swarovski crystal accents. I’m using ivory roses and probably renting silver candelabras for the windows. My sisters want to coordinate with champagne dresses which I think is a cool idea. I was thinking about painting some pumpkins silver or doing some mercury glass somewhere.

My wedding is on October 5! My color palette is blush pink, coral pink, gray, black, and cream. I didn’t pay attention to the traditional “fall” color palette and just went with what I liked. The girls are wearing gray Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and are carrying coral pink and blush pink bouquets. The guys are wearing black tuxes with gray ties.
