Champagne is a gorgeous color on the right skin tone. I have seen it on paler women and it tends to wash them out a bit. Again, I suppose that all depends on the woman.

My dress is an alabaster color which I would consider a pearly champagne.

My dress is champagne with an ivory lace overlay and no one that’s seen it has said anything negative. The most common comment I’ve gotten is that it has an almost vintage/antique look to it. It’s beautiful on the right skin tone.

Mine is a champagne/latte/cafe color. Ivory lace on top. I just think of it as a dark ivory. I love, love, love it! It won’t pass for white, but outside of the bridal salon, the color looks like a really pretty ivory.

@dghosh: Yes! I am also olive skinned and I think it works very well.  Here is my skin tone and I was recommended ivory and champagne color dresses by several people.

EDIT: I took out the photo…no body needs to see my face that huge. 🙁

I wanted more of a champagne wedding dress but I bought a sample dress so it’s diamond white. I’m not a fan of pure white wedding dresses so I was immdediately drawn to the champagne colored dresses. I’m probably not the right skin tone though so maybe it’s better than I didn’t get a champagne colored dress.

My dress is a bias satin creamy/champagny dress. I’ve always preferred the color, anyway.
