@reginaphalange: I love your dress, so gorgeous. What does the front look like?

Mine is champage – it works with my skin color way better than white does.  And I love the champage color – but I agree with pp… it depends on skin color

This is one of my contenders. It’s called Candlelight. I think it’s really pretty!

I definitely wouldn’t think dirty! It looks beautifully unique and warm.

My dress is champagne satin with an ivory overlay- i tried on a few ivory and white dresses but being a pale red-head the lighter colours made my skin look even paler and kind of ghostly!

I’ve never thought dirty, more like goldeny? It’s not the best on some skin tones though. I saw a champagne dress with an ivory lace overlay once that I loved, I kick myself for not buying it

I’ve never thought they looked dirty. An entire champagne dress wouldn’t look good on me, but mine has champagne accents which look nice. Excuse the picture, the lighting is iffy. It’s way prettier in person.

This is champagne over diamond white. It didn’t look as detailed in the white on white and we loved it.

This dress was my runner-up. One of my favorite things about it was the gorgeous champagne color. I have olive/hispanic skin tone and I thought it complimented it well!

I think champagne looks better in certain materials and certain cuts of dresses. I really don’t like it on the big puffy tulle style gowns. I think it looks super sexy on slinky gowns and classy with some lace/satin gowns. Of course some skin colors compliment it a bit more, but there are a lot of variables for me on when champagne looks great.

@dghosh:

Thanks! The bra thing is a work in progress, hence my previously not posting a front pic. It actually looks fine without a bra on me, but I plan on doing a lot of dancing, so I’m worried about the comfort factor. Here’s a side pic:

And I guess I’ll go ahead and post a pic of the front, too. The cowl front needs some adjusting and it needs to be steamed obviously, but here it is.

I think champagne dresses are unique and very elegant.

Because of my skin color and red colored hair it didnt look good on me a white dress.

My dress is champagne with ivory lace on the top and an ivory lace bolero to use at the church ceremony! Cant wait to wear it on Sep 8!! 🙂

Sorry about the messy room! 😀
