I’m super super white and my dress is champagne and honestly it looked 100x better on me than any of the “white” dresses did since they washed me out too much and made me look like a ghost or like I was wearing a halloween costume.  I don’t have any photos of me in the dress yet but I do not look naked that I promise you!  I think the “naked” look comes from dresses that have a champagne layer below another color lace, and I only think it looks like that when the top layer is much darker (red, purple, black, etc), not on wedding dresses!

Why don’t you try one on? Or more than one to see how you feel/look for yourself?

I wanted a champagne dress so bad but I couldn’t find any that worked with my body type. I’m pale, but with a lot of olive undertones and champagne actually made my skin look LESS yellowy. YRMV.
