Any brides out there with champagne or gold dresses? Particularly lace dresses that have ivory lace over gold or champagne? My dress has gold under and then ivory lace and I was just trying to get a feel for how it will photograph! Anybody have a matching gold/champagne veil to go along with it?

My dress is ivory lace over champagne. Here’s a couple pictures where the champagne color is more obvious, and then one under the brighter lights at the salon. I haven’t decided for sure if I’m wearing a veil or not, but if I do it will be ivory.

Mine was also ivory lace over gold. I bought an ivory veil
If you go to this thread: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/maggie-sottero-bernadette-spring-2011/page/5 and look at amydh‘s pictures she has some of the most beautiful shots of the ivory over gold I’ve seen

Mine was champagne with an ivory overlay. Most of the photos actually came out with it looking more ivory thanks to the lighting, but there are some that you can really see the warmth though.
Ok, yeah weird pic but it shows the color really nicely. It was at the end of the night, he had just changed out of his formal shoes and my mom kept harassing the photographer to get a picture of us with our matching shoes.

@misspeanut: What a gorgeous dress – you look magnificent.

It totally depends on the lighting, but my dress looks champagne or blush most of the time. It can photograph white though. (The previous bride who sold it to me had a picture where it looked completely white, but I haven’t had my wedding yet so I don’t have any pictures of it on me where it looks white.)

Lovely dresses all, ladies! Mine is ivory with champagne detailing in the lace – I don’t have a good picture of it yet, though.
Re. veils, I have this posted in the veil classifieds, but I’ll put it here too because it might be especially relevant for you ladies:
I have an ivory and gold veil that I’ve changed my mind about – it’s elbow length, and I decided I’d rather go with cathedral length because my gown has a train and we’re getting married in a very traditional Catholic church, etc. So, I would love to find another bride who could use it!
It’s a 2-tier veil with ivory tulle and a rolled ribbon edge in a dark, satiny gold, a color I would describe as “old gold.” Not quite bronze, but not bright and glittery gold either. Both tiers of the veil are also sprinkled with flat-backed rhinestone accents. It originally came on a plastic comb, but I got a gold wire comb for it instead so that it would anchor better. Pics can be seen here:
and you can contact me via the email in the ad or via a Weddingbee message. Get in touch with me if you think we can help one another out and give this veil a chance to adorn another beautiful bride!

@KCKnd2: Thanks! I loved every minute of my wedding and everyone loved the dress!!! I was most nervous about the color but it really did photograph ivory in all the pictures I’ve seen so far! But unlike ivory over ivory, you can actually see all the detail of the lace.

Sorry it is huge. Who am I kidding, no I’m not, I could look at this dress all day. I bought the Maggie Sottero Milana in champagne with gold beads. I bought a veil in a color that is actually called rum pink but is a very close match. I notice that professional photos of this dress look much better than ones I take with my own camera during fittings. In person the beads seem to blend very well with the color of the dress but when the flash of a camera goes off it seems to highlight the color difference between the lace and the beads. I am no so fond of this but thats okay.

If you google T9612 there are several brides wearing that David’s Bridal dress that is ivory lace over gold. I didn’t want to post any becaues there are faces and I feel like its awkward to post somebody elses’ face!
