We decided to do the toast during dinner. It just seems appropriate to do with other speeches and with something solid to accompany it.

Etiquette Snob here… lol

There is NO Set Rule on this one.

Options include:

  • At the very beginning – Welcome / Cocktail Hour
  • At the beginning of Dinner (after Grace)
  • At the end of the Dinner with Speaches
  • Or with the Cutting of the Cake

So the choice is really up to you.

Hope this helps,

PS… My First Wedding the Traditional BIG White Pouffy Family one it was done after Grace.  My Second Wedding at the Back Home Reception with the Cake Cutting.

I would say do it with dinner! Never good to drink on an empty stomach!
