So our wedding is next April and we’re getting married in a large (seats 700) cathedral-like basilica. The reception is at a ballroom with HUGE chandeleirs like you see in the photos. This is going to be a very formal wedding…On a BUDGET! 🙂 So, my question is:
How can I incorporate the chandeliers in the wedding decor. Invites are bought and work well with the chandeliers. How about the tablescapes? I was going to use hurricane vases for centerpieces but would like to brainstorm some other ideas to incorporate the chandeliers and all their crystals.

btw, this is a photo of our actual ballroom.

I know! I just googled 🙂 I can’t take all the credit!
They look pretty simple, too! Best luck, girl!

I’m with bells . I would let the chandelier be the WOW factor in the room and do something more simple.

Not sure what your colors are… but I agree with PPs in keeping it simple. In keeping with the hurricane vase idea… I was thinking a simple white candle in it with a wreath of vines/greens/white florals (baby’s breath?) around the bottom.
Beautiful venue, btw!

I’d play up the shimmer of the room with lots of candles on the tables!

I agree with other posts here. The chandaliers are almost your centerpiece at this point. If i were you I would keep to short bunches of flowers in the center, maybe with crystal or glass push pins scattered in with the flowers to refect the light, or a shiny container.
To blenc the theme though i would have some crytal or glass outside for the seating chart.
