I think that would look nice if you have your heart set on it, but I don’t think it is necessary.  There are already many beautiful details on your dress.

@zoecn:  ooh this is the dress I am wearing too – congrats!! It is sooo beautiful! Given that I have tried on this dress a number of times myself, I wouldn’t recommend the scalloped neckline. This is because the neck line is mostly chiffon, and I rechecked my photos and there is no lace that reaches up that high. You would have scalloping that is made of chiffon, and you’re going for the lace instead. I’m just worried if you add lace it will look strange as the dress blends from rouching into lace very nicely and it might look out of place. I would definitely suggest talking to the seamstress to see what they suggest. Good luck and keep me posted – would love to see how it looks if you go with it! Congrats on a great choice!

@zoecn:  Oh I would definitely love to see it if you try it again with the new neckline! Seamstresses are AMAZING.. I had a bit of a panic when my dress came in and did NOT fit the way I thought it would (brace yourself, btw!). My seamstress fixed it right up like it was no big deal, lol. I would love to see how your seamstress makes your scalloped dreams come true!

I am shocked at the cost!! It almost makes more sense to buy it here and have it shipped!! I think mine was $1800 CAD before tax. I wonder if that might be an option for you? Otherwise I know there’s a bee on here with the same dress that is looking to sell – might be a better option for you if cost is a factor.

My dress was ordered in ivory.. to me it looks white (I can show you photos if you like). The last fitting I was at they had the white version on the rack close by and it was only when I did a side by side comparison that I could tell the difference. It’s great for me because I’m super pale but the ivory dress still looks like it’s actually white (without making me look pasty). There is another bee who ordered it in white but I don’t think it’s in yet.

@zoecn:  here’s the link to my dress drama! Including a photo of how it fit when it first came in, and then how it fit after the inner band was adjusted. Be prepared – when it first came in the band was trying to squeeze me to death! I have another fitting this weekend where she’s going to give my booty a bit more room (it’s a little too snug right now)

@zoecn:  I’m only 5’4 and I’m wearing 4.5 inch heels in that photo. I was considering a belt for the reception – haven’t tried it yet! Maybe the next fitting ill give it shot!
