Wow!  Congrats!

The most I’ve ever cashed in with a change jar was $144 so I cannot imagine how big of a stash your $500 was.  I used a coinstar machine to count it and got an equal value Lowe’s gift card.

Change is good. LOL

@renwoman:  that’s a lot of change! In high school I managed to save up $90 in change and used it to pay for most of my prom dress, so that was excellent. We currently have a coin jar going on. I’m not sure how much is in there, but certainly no where near $500! That’s really awesome!

Yay! That’s brilliant! Change is awesome!

We have a silver coins jar, and a gold coins tin…. Gold coins are emptied from pockets and purses daily to save up some extra money for our honeymoon! Silver I routinely take to the bank and give my Fiance the notes back.

my dad always says whoever turns in his change can have it 🙂 my brother and i used to roll it as kids and be sooo excited with the 50.00! about 1.5 years ago, my now fi and i were at home visiting my parents before moving overseas and my mum said the offer still stood! we took her up on it, and he had THE MOST CHANGE EVER! it came out to almost 400 dollars! we were so thankful and stretched that 400 to almost completely furnish our first apartment together 🙂

that will always make me smile!
