@brideatbeach:  Is keeping your maiden name out of the question? Could you just do First YourLast HisLast?

Is he willing to legally change his last name to “your maiden-his last” so that you both can have matching last names and they would be your legal names? Then your children would have a last name that matched both of yours.

My best friend growing up and Bridesmaid or Best Man in my wedding has a hypenated last name. When her parents got married they created a new last name by joining them with a hypenation. It’s never been an issue for her parents or for her since everyone in the family shares the same legal last name.

@brideatbeach:  Totally understand keeping the middle name. What about First Middle YourLast HisLast (no hyphen)– you would legally still have your name, but you could just me Mrs. HisLast for kid purposes.
