I have had a change in the bridal party just before we were purchasing bridesmaid dresses. I initially was going to use the Donna Morgan bridesmaid dresses and have 2 x bridesmaids in mint dresses and my Maid/Matron of Honor in pink but all similar dresses so they all matched in fabrics etc. (My colour scheme is blush pink and mint).
Now I only have 1 bridesmaid and 1 Maid/Matron of Honor and still want to use my colour scheme. But I think it will look strange with just 1 mint dress and 1 pink dress now??
So I need to choose either mint or pink dresses for both… but if I choose one colour I don’t know how to incorporate the other colour in! Accessories might look a bit tacky in the other colour and I had already planned on giving the girls a nice pair of earrings to wear as a gift.
I also had wanted my groom to wear a pink tie and then the groomsmen wear the mint ties…. just don’t know how to do this now.
Has anyone else used this colour scheme and done it this way? Any suggestions welcome!
Thank you in advance. 🙂

I would say use the mint for the dresses and pink for the bouquet. Your groom can wear the pink and the Groomsmen wear the mint. Your colors will come out throughout the entire wedding, don’t worry about trying to put all the colors on your Bridesmaid or Best Man. My colors are shades of green with metallics. I’m putting my girls in mint with gold jewelry, the rest of the greens will come out in the decor!

@kate16: So the guys’ ties (including the groom) are pink, mint, mint; and the girls’ dresses (including you) are white, pink, mint? In my opinion, that’s not quite right. I think it looks better when the groomsmen’s ties match the Bridesmaid or Best Man they are with. (Or are all the same).
Personally I would give the best man a pink bowtie (to match the MOH) and the groom a black bowtie, so each guy matches the girl he’s with. Or if you really want your guy in a pink bowtie, have all the guys in pink bowties.
(Or like @misschickpea: says. because what she describes has each guy’s bowtie matching the girl he’s paired with).
