I think a Saturday wedding is def. the way to go – it’s the middle of the weekend & Out of Town guests are able to get there a day before & leave the day after, instead of rushing or having to take off work!! I think October is going to be a wonderful time of the year to get married…congrats!

I’d say 6 P.M. is def. a better time. Is that when you’re starting the ceremony? I think the earlier you get started the better (not TOO early though!) we’re starting our ceremony at 4:30!

I say think about what time you want guests to be eating dinner and then work your way back from there.  We wanted guests to be eating around 6:30, so our reception will start at 6 pm, the cocktail hour at 5 pm.  That meant we had to have the ceremony at 3 pm due to the distance between the ceremony and reception sites.

We had our ceremony start at 6.  That way, it lasts about an hour and then people will eat around 7:30-8.  If you start the ceremony at 7, I think it would be a bit late and people would be hungry!
