TO @MrsUNClover: sorry to hear that your Honeymoon Caribbean Cruise was cancelled (take it you were booked aboard the Carnival Triumph)
On a brighter note… Vegas should be a blast.
Amazing hotels, inexpensive (and good) eats, fabulous entertainment… Enjoy !!

@This Time Round: Yes we were! Bought all new beachy clothes and were all set to go and then my mom told me to look at the news… Talk about having a panic attack! I’m just glad we werent on the ship. My aunt was and she said it was horrible…

Well, on the bright side, you won’t get stranded on a sewage-filled boat in the middle of the ocean for a week!!

Oooooh Vegas will be fun!! You can make it romantic 🙂
Definitely go to Ghost Bar at the Palm. It’s got a beautiful view and they don’t let a million people in at the same time, so it still feels intimate. Their patio is at the top of the casino, you can go outside and there are clear fences so all you see are all the Vegas lights. Very romantic.
Check out the restaurant at Paris and go up to the top of the “Eiffel Tower.” Watch the Bellagio fountains show, preferably at night, for a more romantic effect, and DEFINITELY do the Bellagio buffett. It’s amazing!
Maybe take in a show, and make the most of the pools if it’s warm enough. The Mirage has a really nice pool area that you can use even if you’re not a guest at that hotel.
Have a wonderful time!

That bites about your trip but at least you got our money back (I am assuming they gave it back from what I heard on the news) and were able to come up with a plan B quickly. Enjoy and congrats!

@MrsUNClover: LOVE Vegas! So jealous!! It’s just so nice to stroll through the strip going in and out of casinos, fab shopping it you like that and wonderful food! We went to see penn and teller at RIO, get tix day of at a discount booth. if you have time hire a car and drive to Grand Canyon, hop on a bus to Freemont Street, make sure you go get a photo of the sign, and lay by the pool (if its warm enough…)

@MrsUNClover: There is so much fun stuff to do in Vegas! When we went we spent an entire day just walking up and down the strip shopping – stopping for drinks when we wanted doing a little gambling when we wanted. We also went to see Zumanity at New York New York. Definitely a great place to get last minute show tickets.
