I’ve posted on here before that I wasn’t in love with my e-ring. I Loooove my man and I love that he picked it out on his own however it wasn’t my style. I tried I really tried to love it. We even went and purchased two bands to go with it and I liked it compared to the ring alone yet I couldn’t get past that to me it didn’t look or feel like an engagement ring. I wasn’t in love with it so when others made negative comments it got to me because I agreed with them!!!
Initially we thought of swapping out the center stone to make it look more like an e-ring but it turned out that would’ve been more work and $ because of the style of my ring than it was worth. I looked at the same style ring with larger stones so that it looked like an e-ring and keep the look that he chose for me but again, it wasn’t about the size of the diamonds it was the style I didn’t care for.
So after much consideration, we chose to trade it in for something I would love. It was NOT easy to hand over the ring he chose for me but we couldn’t afford to keep it and get another. I decided it was more important to me to have the ring I love BEFORE we get married and have our ring blessed than to upgrade later to a completely different ring that we were not married with. For me personally wearing a ring we weren’t married with felt more wrong than changing it now. SO…here is the ring I am happy to say I LOVE!! Oh and because I love it I could care less what anyone else has to say about it, it’s perfect to me 🙂 Of course fiance loves it too!

@MrsFuzzyFace: Awww thank you!! I felt sad for me too 🙁 I was so envious of all the ladies who adored their ring, regardless of size, I wanted to be in love too!!! Now I get it, I completely understand what a difference it makes to smile everytime I look at my ring and I looooove my hubby to be for wanting nothing but to make me happy 🙂
Thank you to everyone- I am soooo glad I feel the same way. I’ve learned that regardless of others opinions no matter how bad I seem to rely on them, in the end I have to do what makes ME happy. I got wonderful compliments on my other ring too but in the end it was my opinion that stuck and regardless of how many people said it was pretty, it just wasn’t me.
@anne B: Thanks for the laugh- you’re too cute and I’m sure your ring is absolutely gorgeous!
@MsLotus: Oh yes there are some people that can always find some negative!!! I’ve heard some believe their comments don’t make me feel bad for my ring I LOVE it, I only feel bad for them for being that way. 🙂
