So we have our nintendo reception coming up, and one of my DIY projects was to make our “card box” for the gift table… This is what I came up with first:
Yes, that’s the piranha plant from Super Mario Brothers… hahah! BUT the more I looked at our card box… the more I thought… little kid birthday party?
Sooooo I started over… our wedding colors are chocolate brown, pale green, and ivory… and in keeping with our nintendo theme… here’s the final product… and I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!
The Mario Question Mark Block!!! 🙂 I cut a slit on top for cards, and that’s all she wrote! 🙂

Looks great! It will fit your theme nicely!

Thanks! I’m really happy with how it turned out – it fits the Mario theme, but also our color scheme! It’s hard to have a Nintendo themed wedding without toe-ing that “little kid birthday party” line, but I think this captures that exactly!

Your question mark block looks fantastic! The gamer nerd in me thinks it’s pretty awesome you’re having a Super Mario Bros. theme, lol.

Wow! This is awesome! I still like the first one as well. Maybe you can use it for something else?

Yes, can you use the other one for something else? When I showed that to Fiance it totally made his day. He asked me why I couldn’t be cooler, so thanks for that 😛

@Quietserenity:Lol. My Fiance would probably say the same thing. We’re both gaming nerds but won’t be incorporating that into our wedding.
You should save the first box, though! It is cute!

Hahha, aw, sorry @quietserenity!!! I will be saving the first box and somehow incorporating it into my halloween party this year, hah!

So creative! The new card box is a bit more grown up and sophisticated, but still playful and in keeping with your theme. Great job!
