It’s still a potential, but it’s affordable, close by, and my mum said she liked it. Which translates to potential financial assistance. Always a good thing! >.>;
It’s a bit smaller in person than it looks like in the pictures (just as pretty, though, they just redid it a few months ago), but it’s plenty big enough for the amount of people that I’m having attend. It holds 70 people seated, and my guest list, while not finalized, is definitely smaller than than that, since I have a 50 guest max.
The only thing I’m hesitant about is how best to do a ceremony and reception in the same location… I know it’s possible, especially since I’m not going super fancy with anything, I mean look at the place, I barely need to decorate that, it’s GORGEOUS.
I get it for less than $800 from 5pm until either 11 or midnight. Booyeah! And it’s a 3 minute walk from a lovely hotel that was just finished being rennovated. I am thrilled because this is at the same museum that my SO and I went to prom together. Well, it was my senior prom, and he’d already graduated from a different school, so it’s not that important, but I still love the place. I considered using the actual planetarium, but that was more expensive and I didn’t really see the point because it’s essentially just a theatre.
Yay planning! Yay saving money! Yay being 2 years out! Well, maybe not that last one quite so much… At least I have plenty of time to save up the money and figure everything out, right?
