I always heard that you can change a zipper into a corset, but you can’t change a corset into a zipper. But I have no experience with this. Good luck!

if it’s that big on you it may be able to be done. Bring it to a seamstress? People online can’t help you as much as someone in person who knows what they’re doing!

FutureMrs.Huemiller:  I went the opposite way with my dress. It cost a bout $250 to do the change, but that was done by the designer, not a seamstress. With that much room in the dress I cant see it being a problem but be prepared fodr a large alterations bill.

I believe you can but it has to be EXTREMELY big.  Basically the corset part has to be removed and the zipper added.

Could you not just have the top taken in? I used to be a seamstress (and still do all of my own alterations), and it’s far easier and cheaper to just take it in, rather than change the lacing to a zipper.
