I personally think it’s rude and a friendship-ending move for a bride to cut a bridesmaid.  I think the only thing you can do is mention that you know she’s busy and has other things on her plate, and ask if she’d like to support you in some other capacity on the wedding day (reader, or just as a guest).  But cutting her without any really solid reason is in poor taste.

If you are referring to her as “this chick” then you don’t seem to want to be friends with her at all. Just say that you’ve been feeling like your friendship isn’t what it used to be and you’d love for her to attend your wedding as a guest, but don’t feel like she should be a bridesmaid. If she’s offended and doesn’t want to be friends with you anymore, it probably won’t be a huge loss to you.

speaking as a cut bridesmaid who was friends with the bride for 18 years, I’d say don’t. Our friendship is totally over and the reason she cut me was absolutley insane. It caused a HUGE amount of drama with my family (our families were also friends). remember that you picked her for a reason to begin with. I was so hurt by it, I cried for days.
